Halloween teams up with Benefit songs while zombies the world over enroll in modern-composition lectures...

Remember watching TV in the late 90's? Wasn't it just bliss being able to switch between all 3 available channels (4 if you were lucky) and irritate the whole family while you flipped between Friends and re-runs of Sienfield. Then, while you were really slamming those buttons like a retarded chimpanzee, you catch a glimpse of Paul Simon. You pause for a second, you go back to that channel but only to find yourself looking at Kenny Rogers. So you change back and start channel hopping again... 3 seconds later you're back at the channel with Kenny Rogers but NO KENNY?! What it's Bruce Springst...WAIT CINDY LAUPER... then it hits you... OH MY GOD OH MY GOD.... BEEEENNNEEEFIT SONG!!!! and the whole family joins in... 'We are the wor...

Well, imagine it was all your favourite hipsters singing for charity... halloween style! Aptly titled "Do They Know It's Halloween?" and released under the moniker North American Halloween Prevention Initiative we have a brand new spin on benefit music. The song is from last year but hey, who cares? Just join in the festivities and take a listen. It doesn't have a pre-albino-disease Michael Jackson but it does include:
Arcade Fire's Win & Regine, Beck, Buck 65, Rilo Kiley's Jenny & Black, Devendra Banhart, Feist, Thurston Moore, Les Savy Fav's Syd Butler, Islands' J'aime, Wolf Parade's Dan & Spencer and many many more.
